The Traralgon Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club which provides a structure for the long-term development of its swimmers. Members are given opportunities to train with swimmers of a similar standard under the supervision of Junior Assistant, Bronze and Silver Level swimming coaches.

Our staff of 15 dedicated coaches work together to provide a developmental swimming program where there is avenue for advancement through to higher levels.

Swimmers are encouraged to concentrate on personal achievements along the way and are awarded for milestones reached.

An Annual Presentation celebration is held where member's achievements at all levels are awarded.

At the beginning, or 'Development Squad' level, Learn-to-swim teachers Michelle Ford and Lucy van Hooydonk offer 1 - 2 x 1 hour sessions per week at the Traralgon Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre. Target Squads advance to 4 - 1.5 hour sessions with Peta Whitby  and Will Morrison. Committed swimmers are invited to additional training throughout the week with Head Coach, Brian Ford and Saturday morning sessions with Peta and Will. Brian Ford (Silver) assisted by Open National Swimmer Ben Geard (Bronze), offers up to 8 sessions per week to dedicated and committed senior/National swimmers. From the Junior Squad through to seniors, swimmers are involved in a developmental flexibility/strength program. Senior swimmers attend weekly gym sessions with Club Strength and Fitness coaches, Sam Fenton (seniors) and Bec Dunstan (juniors).  Coaches are assisted by Junior coaches Georgia Collings, Kirsten Lieshout, Sarah Berryman, Kristie Smith and Charley Askew.  National Gold Medallist Jeremy Meyer runs specialist breaststroke sessions.

Former Club member Ashley Delaney is the current Australian record holder in the 50m and 200m backstroke events and a member of the Australian Dolphins.  Breaststroke sensation Jeremy Meyer is a member of the VIS and has been a member of several representative Australian junior teams.
