TRARALGON DOMINANT AT MORWELL
14 & UNDER MEET
Traralgon Swimming Club sent a
strong team of sixty-four swimmers to the annual Morwell 14 and Under
Short Course Meet on Saturday 30th August. Traralgon
swimmers were a dominant force, winning the overall team points score on
696.50 points, which was 319.50 points clear of their nearest rival,
Morwell Swimming Club. All swimmers performed to their best with 15
Traralgon swimmers winning Individual Age Group medals. Gold medals
were won by Jasmine Doultree (8 & Under Female), Daniel Golcic (12 Year
Old Male), Georgia Tsebelis (11 Year Old Female), Zoe Trembath (13 Year
Old Female), Elliot Shaw (14 Year Old Male). Silver medals went to
Alexander Tsebelis (8 & Under Male), Sam Durbano (9 Year Old Male), Erin
Roberts (10 Year Old Female), Jayden Askew (12 Year Old Male). Bronze
medals were won by Maggie O’Keefe (11 Year Old Female), Sam
Roberts (11 year old Male)Ashley DiCiero
(12 Year Old Male), Stephanie Spehar (13 Year Old Female), Thomas
Morrison (13 Year Old Male), Leah Kenney (14 Year Old Female) and
Cameron Juha (14 Year Old Male). The combined age group Girls’ 7x50m
Relay trophy was won by the Traralgon “A” team members: Leah Kenny (14),
Zoe Trembath (13), Maggie O’Keefe (11), Georgia Tsebelis (11), Erin
Roberts (10), Bridie O’Keefe ( 9) and Jasmine Doultree (8). The
girl' "B" team placed 3rd. The
Traralgon Boys “B” Team finished second in their relay event, team
members were Alexander Tsebelis (7), Connor O’Neill (8), Jacob Lampitt
(11), Luke DiCiero (10), Daniel Golcic (12), Thomas Morrison (13) and
Elliot Shaw (14). At the end of the day Traralgon swimmers had total of
72 individual ribbons with 22 firsts, 24 seconds and 26 thirds plus an
amazing 123 Personal Best times from 250 overall swims for the club on
the day which was an excellent achievement by all swimmers. Traralgon
Swimming Club members who all contributed to the outstanding results
