TSC Presentation 2010 Swim Suit rules - November 1 Competitors please note: New swimwear rules from FINA will be enforced from November 1. Swimming Victoria has added a new by-law in response to the swimwear regulations which in a general way includes labels not listed in the FINA 'acceptable suits' guideline. As our local meets are run under FINA guidelines, local officials will be enforcing the swim suit code. If you are in doubt about the acceptability of your swimwear, consult a referee prior to the meet - and bring a different suit just in case. Here is the new by-law: Unless otherwise directed by SVI, in all levels of competition within Victoria, competitors may wear ‘traditional’ suits provided the suits meet the following criteria: (i) Suits must be of a textile material and may not contain any material such as polyurethane, neoprene or like materials. (ii) Male costumes or briefs may not extend above the waist, nor below the knee. Female costumes may be one or two piece and shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulders, nor below the knee and may not utilise zippers or other fastening devices. (iii) Only one costume may be worn in competition. Further information can be found on the SV website Latest News section https://www.clubsonline.com.au/news/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_main&NewsID=10289&orgid=2090 including information from Speedo on Speedo suits that are permitted and not permitted going forward.

In this current swimming age of small boutique squads and mercenary coaches, the Traralgon Swimming Club is a throw-back to a time when Clubs supported their entire membership not just the elite. Coupled with this desire to retain The Traralgon Swimming Club spirit is the coaching staff’s pursuit of cutting edge swimming techniques to further the aspirations of members to represent their club and themselves at district, state, national and international competitions. The results speak for themselves. The Traralgon Swimming Club is going from strength to strength due to their amazing members who believe in making the club better every year.
